An
online, and lecture module based training program expected to meet and
exceed requirements established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety
Administration (FMCSA) as a required precursor for the NRCME Federal
Examination for DOT examiners. This course is compliant with the FMCSA
"Draft Guidance for the Core Curriculum Specifications," released May
21, 2011.
Depending on familiarity
with the material, our examiner candidates can complete our training in
the comfort of their own home or office in as little as 8 hours.
Lecture based training is 19 hours, with interaction and scenario
problems.
Each module is context driven on core training concepts released by the
FMCSA for the NRCME training program.
Over 700 slides in 27 modules of training.
Numerous chances exist to hone the examiners knowledge base prior to
sitting for the Federal NRCME examination. A pretest to test basic
current knowledge, post module quizzes to familiarize the examiner with
important concepts and a post program test where 80% success rate is
required to receive a program completion certificate.
After completing the training, NRCME candidates are qualified to sit
for the Federal NRCME examination at select testing centers throughout
the country.
Program cost: $895.00 for complete and full access to training material for four weeks.
Modules will cover the following topics:
- A pretest to allow the examiner to evaluate his/her base level of knowledge.
- Comprehensive introduction to the National Registry program.
- Rules, regulations, discretionary vs. non-discretionary standards and resources. (3 modules)
- Hearing module.
- Vision module.
- Repirtatory module.
- Neurological module.
- Hypertension module.
- Five comprehensive cardiovascular modules.
- Psychological module.
- Medication modules. (2)
- Vascular disease module.
- Diabetes module.
- Musculo-skeletal module.
- Each module has a post evaluation quiz.
- Typical
scenario module (designed to give typical and atypical driver
presentations to the examiner and how to apply the standards and
recommendations.)
- Final
exam. 50 questions covering learned material. Once all modules and exam
have been completed, a certificate is awarded. It is anticipated that
certificate will be mailed by the examiner to the FMCSA and a test
protoring site will be established for that examiner. The examiner will
then proceed to that site for the Federal Registry examination. Upon
successful completion, a National Registry number will be issued to the
examiner.
