As soon as your order is processed, training materials will be shipped to your office. If you are needing drug collections or alcohol only, we can accommodate those requests as well. The alcohol training kit consists of training materials and actual saliva screening tests to get you started. These include proficiency examinations for each member of your staff. The drug collection program includes all training materials, clinical collection forms and sample testing cups to evaluate your proficiency. Evaluated mock collections must be performed by a certified trainer. NRCME Training Systems offers that service via computer utilizing Skype within 30 days from the arrival of the kits, your office must test for proficiency. You will also be sent a proficiency exam, for both drug and alcohol testing, before performing the mock collections.
During the time from the arrival of the kit to mock collections, you have access to our office personnel to ask any questions that you may have about the collection process.

Every 5 years the mock collections need to be performed to show continuing knowledge of DOT regulations and rules for collectors. Already doing collections and just need to perform your 5 error free mock collections to become re-certified? When you need to be re-certified we will send you out a collector self study workbook and we will set up a time to perform your 5 error free mock collections within 30 days.

PLEASE NOTE: This program will get your office started in alcohol collections by certifying you and your staff as saliva testing technicians (STT) ONLY. You will not receive training on evidential breath testing equipment. Over 95% of all screens are negative and the FMCSA allows saliva screening. IF you have a positive in your clinic, you will need to have a referral source for a confirmation test on an evidential breath testing device. EBT training must be done through a device manufacturer or their training representatives.
